I am a confident, technically apt and personable ICT professional with small-team leadership experience who would be of great benefit to a prospective employer seeking a customer-facing technical officer.  I have a great depth and breadth of experience gathered through a career working in a variety of roles which has resulted in my well-rounded client relations skills, as well as a flair for creative technical problem solving.



I am currently looking to return to a suitable position following extended medical leave during 2019, culminating in a Liver Transplant in July followed by many months of recovery and rehabilitation and the recent completion of a Graduated Return to Work plan. Having recently been working full time hours again, I am now looking for an opportunity in where I can use my years of experience to provide support services to an organization in a technical support role.

Having gathered extensive service desk, desktop support and Managed Service Provider (MSP) experience both as a technical resource and in the management track, I have worked in ICT disciplines for a variety of industries, from education and state government through to healthcare, security, insurance and the not-for-profit/charity sectors. I believe that the combined knowledge that this background has produced would serve me well in a customer-facing technical customer service role.

I am experienced in both the implementation of technical solutions as well as more generalized day-to-day support. During my career I have implemented and/or managed a number of large scale, complex ICT projects and have moved seamlessly between the project and operational support teams that then operationally manage them.

These projects most recently have included a full scale migration from an on-premises PABX to a Microsoft Teams Calling platform, deployments of new mobile management platforms, the rollout and training of iPhone handsets to hundreds of end users, the rollout of Polycom IP telephony and Video Collaboration hardware (using Microsoft Skype for Business - later Teams) to dozens of sites across Queensland and the setup of a Microsoft Intune environment to manage PC rollouts under the modern workplace model.

In addition to extensive skill and experience in PC and Microsoft technologies, I also have managed the requirements for Apple Mac-based deployments in educational environments and am intimately familiar with Apple devices and software. Many of my previous roles have also included an ongoing need to implement, support and assist users in operating mobile devices - specifically Blackberry, Android and Apple iOS operating systems as well as both Cisco and Polycom Voice over IP telephony technology.

I strive to keep my knowledge current, having completed a Diploma of Information Technology earlier in my career, I have supplemented this with ongoing industry-based learning. In recent years I have re-certified in ITILv3, gained a Microsoft 365 Teams Administrator certification and completed Microsoft Intune-focused training through a course in Deploying and Managing Windows 10 using Enterprise Services. I am always willing and eager to increase my knowledge through both formal and informal means and will give anything a go to gain experience and apply it to my technical repertoire.
